Since this was an impromptus speech, I can’t remember all of the details exactly. I just want to share all these points with all the MUNers.

Honorable Chairs, Distinguished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good afternoon. Today, I feel extremely honored to be awarded as the best delegate here. This could probably be my last time to address my body in a Model UN conference as a delegate, and it’s also my tenth time to have ever participated in a Model UN conference. At this moment, I feel that my words can not be exhausted. When I am going to quit this stage, I feel that I have so much feeling, understanding and experience about this conference to share with you.

This noon, when I asked some of the MUNers about what MUN is in your mind, they simply answered me as MUN is a place for you to have acquaintance with perfect strangers, is a forum for you to discus international issues, is a chance for you to enhance your abilities of English writing and speaking as well, is a way to cultivate your leadership and is also a competition that you can be awarded. However, in my esteem, these could be all the definitions of MUN and they can also be none of the definitions of that.

What is MUN? Even after ten times of participation, I feel confused when answer this question.

From my perspective of view, MUN is not a competition. It’s beyond a competition, above a competition and more than a competition. MUN is a promise, is a dream. A promise that before coming to this international platform, you firstly globalise yourself; a promise that you will determine to change yourself before you change this world; a promise that you will one day realise your promises in your Draft Resolution. MUN is also a dream. A dream that the delegates sitting here today could be the leaders to change the world tomorrow; a dream that one day you will be at the frontline to fight against poverty and unhappiness and bring a bright future to the world citizens a dream that you will determine to make this world a better place to live.

Honorable chairs, distinguished delegates, ladies and gentlemen, even at this time, I feel that my exploration of the genuine spirit of MUN is still far from enough. And I sincerely hope that the new participants in this conference today could be the seeds to spread the hope and anticipation contained in MUN and to make it grow up.

This may be the end of journey of my MUN as a delegate, but I expect you to continue exploring and defining the MUN in your mind.

    Thank you.
